3 time British, Commonwealth and European Thai Boxing Champion, Richard was ranked No 4 in The World by the World Muay Thai Council prior to his retirement in 2003 and has been training since 1986. He started in Chesterfield with Mike Zamiteas and Manchester with the World Famous Master Toddy and his brother Master A. Richard established Bad Company in 1992 and has trained many champions at the gym since this. His coaching experience is second to none and the results speak for themselves. He has traveled abroad with fighters to some of the biggest events in the world from Zenith Stadium in Paris and the Hilton in Prague to The Trump Taj Mahal in Atlantic City Richard has trained extensively in Thailand, mainly under Jitti Damriram at his gym in Bangkok.

Richard retired from fighting in 2003 after a 16 year career to concentrate on coaching at Bad Company Gym. Since this time the gym has gone from strength to strength with the addition of 6 World, 4 European, 2 Britrish and 2Intercontinental Titles at the gym and 4 of our fighters holding No 1 place in their weight divisions in the UK Rankings. Fighters from the gym have fought and won in Thailand, Cambodia, Japan and Italy and beaten Belgian, Dutch,. Thai, Japanese, French, Italian, Cambodian and Irish opponents. The achievements at the gym were recognised in 2005 when Richard won Leeds Sports Federation Sports coach of the year and again in 2008 when he was runner up.
