Happy New Year to everyone! Heres hoping that 2010 brings happiness and health to us all.
Review of 2009.....
2009 has been one of our strongest years yet with our fighters competing all over the world at the very top level. This has been an exciting year for Muay Thai in the UK with some big promoters and promotions coming to the fore such as MSA, For the Glory, Backstreet Brawler, Rumble at the Reebok, Power of Scotland and others plus of course our own shows at Leeds Town Hall. We have been in a great position to have main event fighters on most of these shows.
We have had less fights this year than previous ones but he level that we have fought has been highet than ever. Our record for the year was - 51 Fights 33 Wins 14 Loss 4 Draw
We have had fighters in Thailand - both Lumpini and Ratchadamnoen stadium as well as the Queens Birthday show and other events, Jamaica, Morocco, Hong-Kong, Los Angeles as well as in the UK against Dutch, French, Russian, Malaysian and Thai opponents.
Liam Harrison has had an amazing year fighting no less than 3 legends at the very highest level of the sport - Sanchai, Anuwat and Sakedau to have a total of 8 Fights this year.
Andy Howson won another World Title on our show in Leeds in June.
As well as our top ranked A class fighters such as Liam Harrison, Andy Howson, Jordan Watson, James France, and Richard Cadden and have a number of fighters such as Davy Mac, Sarah McCarthy, Charlotte Webster, George Berry, Kyle Fella and Ben Lewis who are starting to make names for themselves.
Davy Mac has really improved and pushed himself into contention for teh no 1 spot in the UK rankings, Sarah McCarthy has had her first A class fights both at home and travelling overseas to LA in August.
Next year looks like its going to be even more exciting with fights already booked in Japan and France and some big events planned already featuring many of our top names. We have also been joined by a couple of well known names who will be looking to make their mark at Bad Company next year.
We are priveledged to have Chanoy with us again at the moment and also had Mr Daeng with us during 2009 - both are superb trainers and have made a big impact at Bad Company.
Watch this space for a fantastic 2010!!
Happy New Year from all at Bad Company - thanks to everyone for their support and contribution.
